Two decades of commitment
The 2024 vintage of Château le Pin Beausoleil represents a significant milestone in the history of the estate. This vintage is remarkable as it is the 20th wine produced under the direction of Michael and Ingrid Hallek, who have carefully shaped the identity of the winery since acquiring it in 2004. It is also the first vintage produced with the expertise of Thomas Duclos, a renowned wine consultant from Bordeaux, marking a new step forward for the winery.
When the Hallek family acquired Château le Pin Beausoleil in the renowned Bordeaux wine region, they opened a new chapter for the winery. The first vintage in 2004 laid the foundations for their approach to quality and creativity and set the standard for future wines. Over the years, the estate has built a reputation for producing wines that reflect both the essence of the Bordeaux terroir and a commitment to sustainability.
Along the way, Château le Pin Beausoleil has gained recognition and its wines receive positive feedback from critics and enthusiasts alike. Obtaining Ecocert certification for organic wines since the 2021 vintage underlines the estate’s ambition to adapt to modern, sustainable winegrowing practices while preserving tradition.
The Primeur tasting of the 2024 vintage was a complete success and was celebrated by critics and the press alike. In particular, Yves Beck, one of the most respected voices in the wine world, awarded the wine an impressive 93-95 points, highlighting its outstanding quality and artistry. Beck’s praise underlines the harmony, complexity and ability of the vintage to hold its own among the best wines from Bordeaux.
What distinguishes the 2024 vintage is its robust character and refined texture, characteristics that have been further enhanced under the direction of Thomas Duclos. Duclos, known for his expertise and understanding of the Bordeaux terroir, has brought a new perspective to Château le Pin Beausoleil. His commitment is a strategic move for the estate, which combines tradition with cutting-edge techniques to make the most of the vineyard’s rich soils and microclimate.
The Primeur tasting offered critics, collectors and wine experts the opportunity to experience the 2024 vintage first-hand. The wine’s balance, structure and finish were praised as an expression of the estate’s ongoing commitment to quality. Yves Beck’s assessment of the vintage confirmed its position among Bordeaux wines, with the tasting highlighting the estate’s consistent efforts rather than a single exceptional achievement.
As the Hallek family celebrates 20 years of managing Chateau le Pin Beausoleil, the 2024 vintage is an impressive symbol of their journey. Under the direction of Thomas Duclos and with two decades of experience, the estate is ready to continue on its path of excellence, producing wines that honor the traditions of Bordeaux while embracing modern innovation.
Michael Hallek reflects on the challenges of producing this remarkable vintage: “The 2024 vintage is a testament to resilience and commitment. Despite the difficult conditions we had to contend with throughout the year, including a late harvest of the last grapes on October 5, 2024, we have created a wine that truly embodies the spirit of Château le Pin Beausoleil. I am deeply grateful to our entire team for their tireless commitment and passion.”
The success of the 2024 Primeur tasting is more than just an achievement – it is a promise for the future of Château le Pin Beausoleil. As wine lovers and critics turn their eyes to this estate, one thing remains certain: Château Le Pin Beausoleil’s legacy is one of unwavering dedication, passion and the relentless pursuit of perfection in every bottle.

Château Le Pin Beausoleil 2024
Tasted on 14.04.2025 by Yves Beck
75% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Franc, 2% Cabernet Sauvignon
Size of 7 ha for the Pin Beausoleil with vines that reach an average age of 25 years. Clay and limestone soils. Maturation in barrels, 50% of which are new. The bouquet immediately reveals the limestone side with chalky nuances, complemented by the floral side of the Cabernet Franc. It is expressly geared towards freshness and energy. On the palate, the terroir is once again to the fore. The wine is invigorating, precise and therefore gets straight to the point. It can count on the support of perfectly integrated tannins, which go hand in hand with an acidity that is as structuring as it is salivating. When a wine succeeds in placing itself ahead of the vintage, it is great. This is the case with Pin Beausoleil! 2029-2044 94-95/100
