Discover the magic of the landscape, the unmistakable terroir and the dedication to grow wonderful mature grapes – in the bottles of Château le Pin Beausoleil.
“The 2020 Le Pin Beausoleil is just magnificent, just as it was en primeur. Silky, aromatic and nuanced, Le Pin Beausoleil is all class. Crushed flowers, mint, red cherry, red plum, mocha and expresso all open in the glass. Le Pin Beausoleil remains one of the most overlooked wines in all of Bordeaux.” (Score 94/100)
Château Le Pin Beausoleil, “the hidden champion”.
Important critics always recommend their readers to look for wines that reach a level of wines that cost many times more.
Château Le Pin Beausoleil is one such wine. Deep red to black, with elegance, very fine and at the same time well structured thanks to solid but soft tannins. The texture is supple, velvety, almost creamy.
On the palate it offers a complex array of aromas that vary slightly by vintage but contain typical elements of the terroir with dark berries, chocolate, some licorice and pepper and a cool minerality.
A wine that stores well, reaching its peak between 5 and 15 years, depending on the vintage.
This wine has different characteristics than Le Pin Beausoleil, but still has the high quality of the wines of our Chateau.
Petit Soleil is mainly made from Merlot grapes of younger vines from the plots in Rauzan and Saint-Vincent, planted in 2000.
The wine offers a fresh, yet uncomplicated red fruit drinking experience, with a creamy texture and fine-grained, very well-integrated tannins.
This captures the profile of the vintage to a T, with exuberant melted licorice, plum and cassis fruit flavors and slightly tarry grip, all on a frame that will be accessible in the early going.—J.M.
Flowers, sweet, ripe, juicy, fruits, polished textured and more, ripe fruit in the finish. What more can you ask for from a wine that sells for under $20? (Tasted Apr 29, 2017)
Pretty aromas of ripe and concentrated black fruits with dried flowers and spicy notes. This is a full-bodied red combining chewy tannins, well-integrated acidity and a long, elegant finish. Drink in 2018.
