The 2017 Le Pin Beausoleil is bursting with striking aromatics and brilliant, chiseled fruit. Medium in body, gracious and impeccably balanced, this Merlot-based Bordeaux Supérieur has class to burn. Best of all, it is a terrific value. Don't miss it. (2017 Bordeaux: Sleepers & Under the Radar Gems)
The 2017 Le Pin Beausoleil is medium to deep garnet-purple in color with a nose of baked cherries, preserved red plums and dried mulberries plus a waft of fruitcake. The palate gives a good amount of baked berry flavors with chewy tannins and something of a tart backbone, finishing earthy.
Medium bodied, sweet, ripe and spicy, the tannins are soft, bringing you to a fruit-filled climax that is tantalizing. All this and it sells for less than $20!
This shows some good violets and dark fruit, but it’s a little dilute on the palate with easy tannins and a fresh finish.
One seriously good Bordeaux Superior, the 2017 Château Le Pin Beausoleil offers an incredibly floral quality as well as ample red fruits, medium-bodied richness, and building minerality. It’s another gem that’s made with the help of consultant Stéphane Derenoncourt.

Chateau le Pin Beausoleil is grown on the best plots of the estate, one of 5 hectares near the chateau, in Saint-Vincent de Pertignas, on a beautifully situated, well drained clay-limestone plateau and on a smaller plot of 2 hectares in Merignas, in the middle of a small forest, the soil here also has a wonderful clay-limestone structure.
